Talking new to vw scene get my car soon

    every one,

im new to the euro scene and I have some questions that im hoping you one/ some of you can answer.

First a storie/ some back ground

im moving interstate from Tasmania to Qld and I had it in my hed for sooo long that I was going to buy (I know this is heresy here) an S13 silvia, but as im going to be a uni student early 2014 its not a very viable option I had been scowering the internets for the right jdm car to get (as a decent clean s13 is like 9K - 11K).

My check list for my new car went something like this (I have been driving a corolla 1992 model...)
    1. relatively fuel efficient (not something 6 cylinder).
    2. had to have more then just 2 seats.
    3. needed to be decent and clean
    4. had to be at least a little fast.
    5. needed to be mod happy
    6. this was the big one, Had to be turbo

so those were my guide lines and to find something like this proved to be hard when looking at jdm cars.
well any how one night I was having dinner with my dad I mentioned this to him and he said he was looking at getting a Mazda mps and, BAM, just like that i thought jesus what about a small fast hatch?

so to the internets I went and I was looking at all the mazda hatchs like the mps and I couldn't afford that so I looked at the sp23 n/a and that's not bad then I looked into modding them and its a dead end, so back to the drawing board, I looked at all the audi's and the renos and the rx5s (not so euro) and none were really what I wanted/ some to much $$$.

then a few days later I was driving home from work and I passed a vw mk5 golf gti I thought that's nice and kept driving, then like a massive slap in the face it dawned on me I had never considered a vw, I looked at the vw straight away and low and behold it met all the criteria and I fell in love..... so I bought one haha

My new car (will be pick it up in a month when I move to the gold coast) is the MKIV Golf GTI 2001 and im excited, iv spent many a late night looking at all the things I can do and toys and so on but this is where I hit a wall, with wheels.
yeah yeah theres plenty of them out there but none that I really like.
I really want some deep dish style rims like sunnys but more like intercepters x deep dish like these

I know I have not yet got the car but the first 2 mods I will be doing asap are coils and rims such as these as im in my 20s and that's just my penis tells me I have to do .

so with that said you know where I am (gold coast) what I have (MKIV Golf GTI) and what I want (the coil overs I am getting are the cheepo ebay specials with no camber adjustment) does any one know where I can get rims much like these in queensland in person or on the internet for less then $500 - $600? preff the cheaper the better I don't care much for the brand names

    Cheers for reading

    Jake

He must be doing pretty well. Everytime I ring or email him, I never get an answer. Ended up getting my first service at the dealer.

Tip: Buy your Castrol Edge on special (I paid 25 for 5 litres) and save like 100 bucks on the service fee....

Yeah, he can be hard to get a hold of. Best to call back at different times of the day. Or better yet, drop in and see him @ the workshop and book it that way.
