Looks good mate, I had the same issues with my wheels/FK AK's. I removed helpers and put spacers on. I also had to remove sway bar as the driveshaft was rubbing hard on it!

The GTI now sports a viezu race tune, and a 2.5 inch stainless steel dump pipe with flex pipe and 100cell race cat, which matches up to my existing billyboat stainless catback system.

Car definately has some more pull, but being 40 degrees the car wasnt exactly in prime running weather, so i didnt give it a good go. They got it up on the dyno, but said it was too bloody hot in the dyno room to get anything of an accurate run and the timing was getting thrown out.

Ive gained around 5 PSI from the tune i'd say, though im fairly confident i have a boost leak, which i was under the impression i had earlier. The car just isnt holding boost very well. It will peak at 4K rpm and then just start to drop away.

Im going to get the system pressure tested and ill make an opinion of the tune once a few tanks of fuel and any errors have been rectified.
Have you seen the boost from my Polo?

    Thats a K03s as well.

They don't hold it once they peak and definitely not in the lower gears. A run in 3rd or 4th up a hill will get the best boost pressure.

As the tuners have said, you can't realistically dyno on mega hot days, the AITs go up and fuel gets injected and timing pulled.

    Front mount for you soon!

225/45s should be fine then, will have to remove the helper spring though

Would a front mount realistically make much difference performance wise? They are small little turbos

Hey Gav, thanks heaps for the response. I didnt expect magic in a heat wave, and completely understood the dyno was kind of a waste of time in the end.

However to put it simply, i went for a cruise late at night and without dumping the clutch, there is no wheelspin what so ever on stockies. which just doesnt mix with other reports. considering i have a couple of supporting mods, even more so. Peak boost is 14psi at the moment and it hits and then dives away to around 6-7 psi at only 4k. That cannot be right. The tune is also the most aggressive offered, so i would say theres some hindrance. I also pulled a fault code suggesting i have a vac leak (00561) i have cleared the codes and will see if it rears its head again.

Let me know how you go.

I've got similar issues but not throwing any codes at all, what's worst is the car was amazing after the chip peaking at around 18psi then after a few months dropped to what your describing.

I've replaced so many things all the vac lines boost pipes, div etc they needed to be done at some point but there are better ways to find the problem rather than just throwing money at it.

I've just got a cable and vagcom lite to do some logs but the free version won't do much so I may have to buy a licence, let me know what you find with it on yours and I'll do the same on mine to compare.

Also where did you get it dynoed?

Hey Jake, will keep you up to date on progress.

Ill be away in bali being tortured by cocktails and massages for 2 weeks unfortunately, so may slow progress.

I just used VCDS lite with the cheapo cable. you can still get all the codes, you just have to use a chart to work out what each one is. does the job for my needs really.

Not sure who did the dyno to be honest, the tuners had it dyno'd for me. Somewhere in dandenong at a guess.

well after clearing the tunes and putting a 100km on the road, none of those codes have reappeared. Must have all popped up during the tuning process. Still adamant that things arent right. Getting my tyres organized now through a mate for the volks.

serviced the beast... whilst doing that did an engine bar clean, and had a good hunt aroundfor any boost hoses i could see, tightened a few clamps up, replaced a joiner nipple between the TIP and TB to a higher quality piece as it appeared to be failing.

Took it for a run, hoping to watch the needle on the boost gauge climb like never before... nope, still 12psi and then dies off.

Tried replacing the N75J ECS race unit for the standard N75 in a hope it might be clashing the tune... lost 2 psi. FML.
