just clicked over to 180,000. doesnt bother me, as its got full service history, runs sweet as and i paid bottom dollar for it. I'll check out the turbo condition soon with a mate and if its starting to get on in its age, ill upgrade anyway. All other aspects asides from some bushings have been replaced.

bought a little present for myself today. Gave up trying to fit my beloved blitz gauge into something OEM looking and bought a smaller gauge.

also ended up buying the vent gauge holder that dubaddiction sells. Must say its the most expensive piece of plastic ive bought in a while.

grand final this weekend (got tickets, go cats) so ill finish the install next week off. basically just have to pass through the firewall and change over the vent and im done. Will also be installing the lowered springs i recieved in the new week.

went for a drive. all working fine, however its peaking at only 4psi. i believe a stock gti should be around 7psi. Mine is stock asides from a cat back exhaust. Guess ill have to look around for boost leaks and start testing parts. great!

got a lil bundle from ECS yesterday.

installed the N75 ecs race valve, installed a new audi diverter valve and installed a telescopic carbon fibre antenna. I had already bought a stubby, but the reception was SHOCKING. The telescopic is good quality and gives good reception. photo tomorrow if youre lucky.

Also installed a new fuel filter today in a hope to solve my loss of power/boost. Whilst its a great service option, it didnt fix the issue of not even hitting 5 psi (nor did the n75/DV, cleaning maf).

So unless someone has any bright ideas, i guess it has to go into a workshop to be looked at (hard with my line of work).

Nice install I knew it would be a better fit than a massive gauge.

    Car looks neat.

Grab a vagcom cable from ebay and either vag com or vcds lite (both the same, vcds lite is just a newer and free version of vag com). Or if you really want you could spit out some extra cash for VCDS full. Definitely worth it just so you can run diagnostics and don't have to guess, not to mention you'll want it to reset the Service reminder and any CEL's you'll get while you fiddle with her bits...
