    New ride: '02 MK4 GTI

Just put a deposit down for my new ride.

2002 mk4 golf GTI 4 dr in satin silver. Manual. Basically dead stock.

Has a faulty glovebox and a few lil scratches on the exterior. I plan on doing the DIY fix on the glovebox from the vortex website.

Giving it a good solid clean and detail first. Then getting some pictures up and continuing a build thread. Plans are for a nice exhaust, intake, install my blitz mechanical boost gauge from previous vehicle. Looking at getting some different taillights, some front foglights possibly and then getting a new grille.

Further down the track ill probably look at chipping it to waken it up a bit, but ill see how it goes for a while.

    Pictures in a week. Cheers,
    leigh.

Have now bought a Billy Boat 2.5" stainless catback exhaust, a carbon fibre stubby antenna and lowering springs (might go coilovers later still).

Now all i need is the car. couple of days to wait

Nice so you found your ride.

Can't wait to see pics of it! Silver is king, never have to clean it and it'll look clean anyway!

Let us know what you plan to do with it.

    Cheers, Pedro

picked her up last night. gave her a night time quick wash (owner was on a dirt road, eugh!). Unfortuanately havent gotten any pics yet as the sun keeps beating me to it. Damn smooth ride though. Very impressed.

Already taken the horse whip antenna off and put a stubby on. Its not an OEM one and the reception is pretty average at times. I need to look into that.

Will be fitting the stainless steel BB exhaust this weekend. Am currently chasing a gauge holder. Everything seems to be 52mm that i can find. I need a 60mm and refuse to mount on the dash and A-pillar.

Where would you mount a 60mm gauge other than on the A-Pillar or dash/wheel bed?
