    New new Beetle?

Can anyone point me in the direction of details of the current new Beetle's replacement?

I've tried a search to no avail.

    Many thanks

Lots of rumours at current moment.

The only concrete info is it will be a fresh design; in other words it won't look like a Beetle it will have more masculine lines.

Second thing is it will be based on the current Golf platform.

Possibly concept showing late this year or ealry next year at a US Auto Show.

i was reading a few articles the other day which had a couple of photos of a concept version.

Looked like a New beetle and a chrysler had sex.

    not a bad shape.

I hope the New new Beetle stays somewhat true to the shape. I like the New Beetle and think that whilst it is technologically and financially thepolar opposite of the original it has a charm of its own. the design of the new beetle is a cool update of the old one and it would be a shame for it to deviate too far away.
