headlight globes - whats everyone use?

one of the headlights has gone on the golf, and i spose its a good excuse for the missus for a bit of an upgrade

just wondering what everyone uses?

im after some which give off a 'white' light and better perfomance to just the standard ones

also what globes do the MK4 Gti's use? im after all of them, so headlight, foggies, parkers and high beams

or would it be better to get a HID Xenon kit?

I use the philips vision plus bulbs they awesome

+1 for the philips blue visions. I use them in my VR6 and they're really good. the colour of them is 4000k so they aren't really a yellow appearance, its more white. Best thing is they are ADR approved. There are Philips crystal visions which are 4300k but not legal for road use - These are classed as more of a white light output

I did also look at the philips +50's but I'll wait till the +80's come out!
