    New Member Introduction

    Hi to Everyone!

Just a quick note to all to say I have read HEAPS of great information from you guys & gals on all aspects of my new purchase... a 2000 MK4 2.0L Golf.

After being in a '90 Corolla for...errr... a long time and also being warned off buying one (maintenance & parts cost blah blah)... I must say WOW! I Luv it!!!

Have had some work done to the engine (please pardon me for being extremely ignorant atm as to the 'ins n outs' - I am working on my education) by Seb and enjoying driving immensely. The only other addition I would like to do right now is new rims & tyres - so it is great to view the pics of your cars for ideas! I am sure I will be asking questions in the future...

Hope you all had a great Christmas with lots of pressys!

    Michelle.

Welcome to the fold Michelle. Just don't stop asking the questions, even if you think it is a "dumb" one. The answer is always easy if you know it and someone in here probably will.

I'll be happy just to have someone else asking "dumb" questions alongside me!

I always go by the philosophy If you don't ask, you don't know.

    Thanks for the welcome!

Thanks for the welcome. I have placed a photo of 'her' in the pic gallery...hope that is the right place for it!

I am looking around for new wheels/tyres but....so hard to decide, so many nice ones out there. But i have to say, have had issues with finding people outside vw's that know fitment

It would be nice if they had a 'try b4 u by' fitment place....err...is there such a place outside the web? lol. I know this is probably the wrong place for this question. I will submit another post when i narrow combos down to...a max of 5 contenders!!!

    Thanks again!

Hey great to see you posted something!

Im new too... & Im another MKIV 2L like you & just getting into all this too. (sacked the suzuki swift)

You should let others know what you have done to date so there may be others with 2L's that would like that "enjoying driving immensely" bit too you stated. (I know im getting a buzz out of it)

So far I have 260degree cams, new lifters, GIAC chip, mid section exhaust cut out, K&N filter tucked into the box, port work, air flow intake work, 17" rims, just to name some things done. Dont plan to turbo or supercharge will leave that bit alone.

I'm due to get coilovers shortly & someother work too.

Really looking forward to the next Dyno Day set down for April 08, so i hear. Would like to see where my 2L gets up to.

Great to see you gave the '90 Corolla the flick.

We got to go do that Lake Lyell run again that was fun maybe others may want to come along too. When should we aim to head off again?
