    new golf owner

    hi guys

bought a 2003 gti yesterday. i've wanted a vw for a while and i finally managed to find one which i thought was alright.

only got it yesterday but the few k's i've done have been great.just need to replace the tyres tomorrow and it's all fun and games from there.

just a couple of questions if you guys are abe to help me out:

their wasn't a manual in the car unfortunately and it would be great to get my hands on one, does anyone know if I can download one somewhere? Actually knowing how to work the AC properly would be a good start. possibly even a workshop manual too if that's not going too far?

Any recommendations on tyre choice? (got the standard 16's on it)

cheers guys, i look forward to heading out for a cruise if you guys do that?

welcome mate! the air con is pretty easy once you get used to it. Auto turns the AC compressor on, and econ turns it off. you turn the whole thing off by turning the fan off. the rest is pretty easy.
Where do you live mate? We need pics of your car as well, or you might get banned!! just joking

Thanks, enjoying the car more and more every time i get in.

re the AC, i pretty much worked it out, cheers but i have a sickness where I enjoy reading the manual of all things I buy.

I'm in Redfern, NSW. IT's a bog standard GTi but i'll take a couple of pics of the weekend.

    cheers

    Hi Fuzz,

Welcome to the forum, I'm sure you will enjoy the GTI they are great cars.

The comment that was made to you was distasteful and embarassing to the majority of forum members. I'm sure you'll find most of us are a very friendly diverse group of people of all sorts of racial and ethnic backgrounds who treat others with respect. There is a lot of knowledge on the forum and plenty willing to share.

    Cheers
