Driving like Miss Daisy has nothing to do with wearing out the DMF. Usually by the time the clutch begins to slip you are down to the rivets and they ruin the mating surface and make replacement the best option.
It would be easy to get a solid flywheel in Australia and a VR6 clutch plate, cover and bearing. Which apart from the lightweight flywheel is what ECS sell you.

Okay. Thanks for the info. I was sort of hoping there would be a lower cost option. But I guess if the job has to be done, might as well do the whole thing while the gearbox is out. Prefer to stick with the DMF though.
