tunes always improve economy as it removes the factory fat from the fuel supply and makes everything to a tighter tolerance for the conditions you live in, maybe Gav who deals with Custom Code tunes will drop in and give some thoughts
Yeah I was definitely looking out for the higher consumption - but then bundabora has chimed in saying he gets 8L/100km - now I'm jealous!
If this can be improved by a tune, I may have to take it to a VW specialist in Canberra to have a look at.

Hey. I only get 8.0 / 100 on a highway drive with a little city... But I would recommend a custom code tune. Instant improvement. around town completely is more like 10.5...

Those look good - just what I'm after, cheers!
Hey mate, did you have any joy with this? I've Googled this a fair bit but haven't found anything conclusive.
I'll be looking into this - since I'm not knowledgeable on this type of thing - can I take the car to a VW specialist for this or do I have to find somewhere which does specialises in tuning?
With regard to a tune the main benefits are on turbo petrol and diesel but there are still benefits for normally aspirated engines, a VW dealer will not provide a "tune / ECU flash" I would contact Gav at Custom Code for a no bull take on a tune for your car it may have value.
