On the glazing of the rotors, they only need the lightest of light skims. So if there is thickness to do this, that will take care of the glazing.
At the same time, the pads need to be lightly linished. Glazed discs will also end up glazing pads as they are not wearing, but getting hot as more and more pressure is applied.
You can get glazing if the pads are dragging on the discs. There is always the slightest contact, but if there is anything causing the brakes to be very lightly applied, you can get this happening. Essentially the discs end up becoming polished, so the polished surface needs to be "honed" off.
