New Beetle - Front Brake rotors/pads

Had a look at my daughters 2005 Beetle a couple of days ago as she was complaining of brake vibration.

Front rotors are badly glazed - I didn't even bother checking them for warp as I reckon they need to be either replaced or machined.
Whats the recommendation for rotors and pads. She's commuting 100km's each day and at least 90k's of that would be freeway. Car is a manual and she's a pretty conservative driver so easy on brakes.
Looking for a pad that has good cold performance and reasonably agressive so they don't end up glazed like these ones and also won't have any issues with initial application when cold/wet. Not concerned about brake dust as she's cleaning it not me
I've no idea what's on there now, other than the wear sensor wires are cut off so I'm guessing not genuine, and knowing what the previous owner was like I'm betting they were cheap

    Any recommendations?

    Steve

On the glazing of the rotors, they only need the lightest of light skims. So if there is thickness to do this, that will take care of the glazing.

At the same time, the pads need to be lightly linished. Glazed discs will also end up glazing pads as they are not wearing, but getting hot as more and more pressure is applied.

You can get glazing if the pads are dragging on the discs. There is always the slightest contact, but if there is anything causing the brakes to be very lightly applied, you can get this happening. Essentially the discs end up becoming polished, so the polished surface needs to be "honed" off.

If you have pedal judder and the pads have the sensor cut off...Id just be getting a gen set from VW, seen a lot of none gen fitted and they seem to squeak...also you will then get the pad warning working again...VDUB...

judder can be pads or disks.
I like ABS in Thompsons Rd in North Geelong, they know their stuff and often give options in regards to a budget or performance setup or something in between
