New Beetle

I thought, assumed there would be more talk here about the New Beetle's, I've used the search but not much coming up,

Are there many new Beetle owner's here?

You don't see many on the road,

my gf would like to buy one, I know they are basically a Mk4 in a pretty body, but why aren't they very popular? You see hundreds of black, silver or white Golf's around, just not many New Beetle's,


or are there other forums where new Beetle's are talked about?


Just more some observations, but would love to hear from any owners out there, (pics are great too)

My girlfriend owns one (cabrio) and i drive it a lot.

Its AWESOME.

She has the two litre engine and its the ultimate summer car. Every time we drive it and drop the roof people turn and look and point. Always gets a thumbs up from people in the street.

Also every time you pass another beetle driver they give a little wave. It seems everyone is happy when they are driving their beetle.

Tell your girlfriend to buy one (go the convertible for maximum fun!) and she wont look back.

Its smooth, reliable and all of her friends will want a ride which means you get to perve!

I'd love one, preferably with a 20vT for R32 engine Still for the cabrio I'd probably settle for a 2.0L

My wife has an 06 Beetle and loves it.

Its been from Brisbane to Cairns and return with no problems. economical and easy to drive.
