im not sure, but on cars i had before i used the radio station memory buttons, 1-6. If you have a 4 digit code you use the first 4 and if its say 4268 you'd press no 1 4 times, no 2 twice etc.
This might not work for VW, but its worth a try i guess
Hi all
My 2001 Bora V5 was recently in having some work done and the battery was disconnected. I have the security code but I do not know how to key it in.
Can someone please scan up the relevant pages from the service manual or offer me a step by step instruction?
Thanks very much

I'd be careful "trying" things randomly - I believe you only get a certain number of incorrect attempts before the unit locks itself out and you need a dealer to do the unlock.
OP: I suspect the procedure should be in the owner's manual (or an additional book for the stereo itself. If you don't have such books, they may be online...
Thanks guys. It appears that I did something wrong as I have been locked out and will now need to see a dealer.
I have the code and the service manual but the stereo instructions are missing unfortunately.
Thanks again
Hi Keith
It looks like the stereo has reset itself. Can you scan or post up the instructions and I will have another crack at it?
Thanks Matt
Thanks very much Keith
I will have another go tomorrow.

Hi guys
I have tried entering the code as per the manual that Keith sent through to me but it still won't accept it. Is there a button I need to press after using each of the 6 keys before going to the next key?
At the moment when I go to the second key the count just continues. Let me know if this doesn't make sense.
Cheers Matt
