My new toy, not Boring at all

Well I was going to post some pics of my new toy but then I discovered that it is already a well known part of the community as seen here:

    http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/f23/...ess-54072.html

I am loving this car and after finding out all that has been done I now just need to get an exhaust to really bring that V6 note out. Oh and refit the momo gaiter as it has come out.

Can anyone recommend a good exhaust that will keep with the sleeper image but give a good note? I have noticed that many of the aftermarket bits have been discontinued.

Cheers, I have been doing research all day and have decided the first upgrade will be CAI but finding a good one locally could prove an issue. Exhaust next and thats going to take a lot of looking around as well followed by a possible cam install and remap.

mate, top car. I am a massive fan of the Modshack VTDA intake. good flow rate apparently, but amazing noise and easily the loudest of all the intakes. Actually it delivers a better sound to the point that you might even forget about doing the zorst.

i personally really dont like the wheels on it, i lowered my golf and chucked a body kit on but decided to leave the wheels stock and i think it looks sexy, the borat is just, ugly

    wow really helpful comment

Car looks great mate, so clean and some great mods! a good sounding CAI can be just as much fun as a nice exhaust i reckon. Pretty sure a few people on here have installed R32 exhausts on their boras, and been very happy with the results. You can either just turn down one tip to keep the stock look, or cut the bumper and have the twin exhaust look. Do a quick search and im sure you'll find it, could be an option..
look forward to seeing where you take it!

I was looking at the ECS XAS for the intake, about the same price as the modshack but the ECS might pull in a bit more cool air especially as this is a daily driver and I work in the CBD so peak hour traffic. For the exhaust I was looking at the milltek, it sounds quite nice but then again so does the R32. Can anyone say which drones more at cruising speeds ?

Welcome! Good purchase mate, it was really well looked after and a great car when I had a ride in it. Make sure that you come to some of the upcoming meets too, always good to meet new car people.
