    My New GTI :D

Bought this brilliant machine just over a week ago, spent today washing it and giving it a good polish so i could get some pics up here for you all!
Already changed over the badges to the new MK5 ones, and changed to a shark fin aerial. Plan on spraying the 'chestnut' trim to a metallic gunmetal grey and spraying the headlight inserts behind the glass black. And i have some tinting film for the tail lights on the way from America

Welcome aboard and very nice looking Mk4 you got there - so clean...

Hella make nice dark tinted lights for them if it doesn't go too well with the tinting film.

And If you want dark side indicators I would send Tim a PM from dubaddiction.com.au. I heard a rumour he might just have some

    Looking good.

Tyre shine to finish the job!! Where did you get the aerial from, I like that.

What else have you got planned for it?

Cheers guys, yes it is a rather clean machine. I bought this one over afew others that had less k's, but were in worse condition and id rather keep this one in good condition, then have to do up a ****tier one.

Ahhh tyre shine, i knew i forgot something, i even meant to do it aswell!!

yer tinted tail lights are the next option, i thought i would go for the $30 pre-cut tint first, if it looks good enuf i'll keep it, if not, hella it is I also intend on getting some 'smoked' side repeaters, so i might just look into that, cheers 99gti

I actually got the aerial off ebay, searched 'golf mk4 aerial' and it came up with afew options. The reception is fine, the base has a small amplifier in it, it is a little bit fuzzy in some situations, but i listen to cd's more often anyways it cost around the $45 mark, even if it dsnt work that well, it deffinatly looks better than the honeing beacon that was on it before

    as for any future modifications, some are afew years down the track, but this is what i would eventually like to do to it, money permiting;
    - some 17-18" rims, hvnt decided what yet
    - Dice ipod connection
    - New exhaust system from turbo back
    - Rear hatch wing
    - Fog lights in lower front grill

im sure there are many more than that to come tho, we will see what happens

Has it been chipped yet? Where abouts in Sydney are you - if you want to go for a squirt in a chipped one I'd be happy to oblige. Trust me, it will instantly move up to the first thing on your list then

Hey Evan, welcome to the forum and congrats on a nice car . Just be warned, the ideas you get on this forum will be a very bad influence on the health of your wallet. Whatever you decide to do to it, you'll get a lot of enjoyment out of that car.

    Cheers,

    Snowy.
