Wolfsburg, hmmm didn't know we got those in AUS, I thought they were the american version.
Just a question in regards to where Boras were manufactured. I was always under the impression that the Bora, like its evolved cousin the Jetta was constructed in Mexico.
Inspired from a recent thread titled Where was your car built ? by Sharkie
I matched up the VIN number and it was showed to be built in Wolfsburg Germany. There is a badge on the rear of the car that say Wolfsburg Edition, I always thought that it was just some sorta decoration, but yeh.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

All AUSTRALIAN BORAS were built in Wolfsburg in Germany.European Boras were made there too.
Boras were made in Mexico for Mexico,Canada,South and Central America, and were called Jettas.
South Africa called their Boras the Jetta, and Boras were made in China, and called it the Bora.
They are still made in Mexico for Mexico,Canada,South and Central AMerica, and are still made in China.
The y are called Jettas in some markets, and that is why the new Jetta 5 is called the Bora in Mexico.
Canada calls the Bora the City Jetta, whilst the A5 is just called Jetta.
Jetta A5 models are made in Mexico,South Africa, and China, while production is being added this year in Russia and in India.
VW cannot keep up with world wide demand of these important models.
The new Sport wagon is made only in Peublo,Mexico.
so does that mean that they're built along side the rest of the golfs? would there be much difference between the wolfsburgs and the SA built ones?
