Hey every one just showing you my new car i picked up yesterday
MKIV R32
#151
81,000K's on the clock
car has been well looked after by previous owner
i am really happy with my find
(Sorry for the crappy phone pics)
The only thing i am not happy about was the original wheels that came with the car had a few hairline cracks so previous owner threw them out and just bought this set of cheepos for the time being.
i have many plans for this car, but for now i will just keep it stock till i decide which path to take (except wheels, i will be buying some very soon)

A few R32's swopping hands at the mo
Where is the one for me hiding !
good to see u got a goody....the wheel thou
Love it except the rims as you pointed out.
First thing would be ebay/interwebs to find aristo's or some oz/bbs wheels that fit.
I'd be using the excuse to buy some 19 BBS CH's !!
Looks sweet, how many cars do you have!?
prefer the standard wheels, should be able to get some somewhere.
Nice colour and good to see it's been looked after well.
I'm not a fan of the rims but they don't look bad. Perhaps try Jax to see if they have any OEM rims lying around.

My mind immediately says the hairline cracks were possibly just in the paint... I'd be VERY surprised to see a set of Aristos crack like that without significant punishment...
For what it's worth, most OEM 17x7.5" wheels will fit over the R32 brakes, and some of them actually look pretty good on the R32. The Bora Sport 17" wheels in particular definitely fit, and they were used on the R32 race cars. There's a set going in Melbourne still I believe, you could probably pick them up and respray them to perfection for less than $1000 all up - and then tyres are cheaper for them too than they are for 18" or 19" wheels...
Alternatives to the Bora Sports would be Mk1 TT wheels or early Audi S3 wheels in 5x100 PCD pattern.
Nothing to see here...
Nice pick up.
mk 4 R32's look the biz!
except for those wheels
