I'll hold off on it for now. I realised after doing a recap of all the stuff I need and plan to do to it, depending on how the suspension works out I'll be putting in an order with Whiteline for caster adjustment bushings anyway, so no point doubling up.

couldn't resist... got a pair of Xenon headlights:

will have to "joey mod" them when they get here to go with the "black and blue" theme I'm going for.

from what I read on ukmkiv's the Bosch ones were OEM replacements, but factory fitted ones weren't Bosch, or some jazz like that.

not pouring any money into the racecar of late has given me some spare cash to play with on the daily. Although, the awesome exchange rate also has a bit to do with my spending spree.

gotta ring up the local VW spares dept on monday to order in some 12 pin and 10 pin clips to make an adaptor for them.

Do the stubby mirrors come with motors to retract them fully or is that something you need to buy to enable the feature?

Yeah the ones I picked up had motors to retract electronically already in them. You can order them from VW separately as well, not sure of part numbers.

Not all stubbies come with them though.

grabbed a set of VW beetle headrests I came across that were the same cream leather as my interior.

not sure what the plan is with them yet, but I'm hoping they give the seats a unique look. Maybe they might even improve the blind spots

should look like this once doen anyway:
