The difference between the two was $40, and for that price I don't mind a full LCA replacement. Less time I have to spend on the press pushing bushes in. I'd assume replacement LCA's come with necessary bushings? no?

Regardless - with the exchange rate as good as it is, you'd be crazy to wait in the hope that it got better. Jump in!

Speaking of bushings and presses and such, gtveloce on fourtitude forums made a nice bushing press tool in this thread: (about 2/3 the way down)

Anyone here have the chops to machine something like this? Might tempt me to have a go at the rears once I've got my fronts sorted

The LCAs come with the stock bushings (the ones that break easily).
    Nothing to see here...

I just use a hydraulic press at the workshop with a few socket pieces or offcuts of some sort to press in bushings. I'll have a look when they come in. I'm used to doing nissan ones without any special tools or machined bits.

Parts arrived in Oz and cleared customs. $500 later $60 in customs fees. wtf.

Ah well. Still works out much cheaper than getting the same stuff locally.

Of all the things around the world I'm buying (grilles/kit from the UK), suspension from the US, mirrors from japan etc... for the life of me I can't find anywhere in the world that sells cheap mirror switches as mine's snapped off (apparently a chronic problem).

I got a LHD one from HK and pulled it apart and chucked it in the RHD case, but it doesn't work... so I'm guessing the terminals are different.

Might actually have to resort to shopping at the local stealership. Actually while I'm at it I might see if they've got any roof racks I can grab some measurements off to start welding up the roof basket I wanna rock.

You can get the TT/R32 ones locally, doubt you'll find anything aftermarket locally though.

I have TT/R32 ones for sale. I did the stage 2 kit but I had already done the control bushes with poly a year or so ago.
