Another vote for the Pirelli Dragons here. They are a bit noisier than the Continentals I had on, but they stick like glue in the wet and dry. I'd definately buy em again.

Edit: Since I put the APR exhaust on it's taken care of the tyre noise, can't hear em anymore.

    Snowy.

last i heard Pirelli Dragons were locally made to save costs, replaced the Pirelli P6000.

Pirelli's are fantastic over the 70km mark whilst going through bends tho! lol

A tyre that is good to stretch is also important

Hmmm dunno how far the Neros will stretch but I know that the grooves go quite far down the sidewall. Maybe worth looking into.

Where'd you end up getting the LEDs from?

I droped off my wheels to get measurements all drawn up and the adaptors are on their way. It'll probably be 2 weeks before I get them but there is still a fair bit of work to be done between now and then. I need to get my guards rolled and I also need to get 2 tyres for one the fronts.

Some qutoes I've had so far for the two front tyres 215/35/19:

    NANKANG $190
    KUMHO $220
    BFG G Force $365.00
    DUNLOP SPT MAXX $415.00
    PIRELLI DRAGON $455.00
    PIRELLI NERO $470.00

I'm thinking I might stick with the Pirellis at the moment but has anyone tried some of the earlier ones with stretch? Keen to hear some feedback.

Also, I've made a few other additions yesterday but I am yet to take some photos. Some of you may remember me getting one of those plastic hood extensions plus a black grill. Well they are on the car now just to give the front a slight face lift. I still want to do the Bora front so this should keep me happy untill that day comes. I must say - it realy does transform the front of the car for such a cheap mod. ($250 roughly I think painted).

I'm also sporting blue LED's replacement globes in my interior too.
    Hey man,
Dragons are rubbish compared to most high end tyres - They aren't a performance tyre at all!

I bought Pzero Neros in 225/40/18 for $240 a couple of weeks ago!

Alot of places are parallel importing them, same tyre, made in the same factory sold here for significantly cheaper (Just check the date they were made on them - Don't want them to be old).

Have a chat to Taleb tyres in tempe (Not tempe tyres - They're dodgy)
Taleb tyres have taken care of me and a few mates a couple of times and they're a good bunch of guys.

spoke to my tyre dude who advised as follows:

if your fit the 215's, the load rating is 85, you need a load rating of 91 for the Golf Gti. if you have an accident, yr insurance company will walk away coz the load rating is too low.

also he advised that 215/35/19 is an unusual size, and not a typically standard fitment, therefore pricing is higher than average.

check out this site for alternative fitment size impacts

perhaps you might be wise doing some more homework
