    Empiregfx.com

I put an order in a few weeks ago and forgot all about it untill I went and checked my mailbox for the first time in a long while. The wheel whores.com came from LowVeeDub (thanks again).

Neil, just spotted this and thought you might want to look thru it as they look to be doing deals on clutch kits and some other stuff you've mentioned. I've never dealt with em, and you'd have to see if they ship O/S.

Well FMIC is in - a huge thanks to the lads from Castle Hill Exhaust. Chris has the patience of a saint. It wasn't smooth sailing and I'll get photos up shortly to show you once day light is here.

As suspected I had a huge boost leak on the charge pipe running into the old tiny SMIC and the amount of boost I have back up top is just pure awesomeness. My car still sounds like darth vader (the diverter valve plus CAI) but without emphysema now (the boost leak)

Visually it looks awesome however there was a lot of work involved to get it to fit. We had to carve away at a fair bit of the front bar but it's not noticeable looking at it. I havn't been able to get the front valance back on yet because I was busting to take it for a drive but I'll do that tomorrow.

One small problem is that when ever I come on boost it sounds like we also installed a rubber ducky squeaker into one of the boost lines. We ran into a problem with a split hose that goes from the throttle body back to the break booster. We replaced the hose but I suspect that is what is squeaking. It's very loud in the cabin, right in front of the driver. It sounds like its inside the cabin but tomorrows investigations should sort that out.

    Photos to follow shortly.

Nice work Neil. Looking forward to the pictures. Are you going to get it dynoed again? Sort of like a logbook for how much power gains you get out of each stage?

Nope - it's a daily driver. Which means I need to really plan my mods well to avoid too much down time. The weather has really gone to crap today but I promise to get some pics up shortly.
