I'm still yet to find a way that the MkV looks better than an MkIV. Or a MkIII, II or I for that matter! The MkVI also looks better than the V i'm sorry to say. MkIV is nice and squat and aggressive, while the MkV had to go the mini people mover look that all hatches have had to go due to stupid EU pedestrian safety regulations.
Oh an yeah I'm yet to have my R run out of breath.
I don't know how all you P platers end up with these cars but as long as you don't go stupid on the roads and damage them or anyone else you'll be right. At least you've got something with plenty of safety nets and features.

Ah yes! I remember back when I got my P's (1984), Van Halen was just starting to make a name for themselves, and I had scrimped and saved to buy myself a 1974 SLR 5000.

Now that was a high performance car with a wicked sound, and like the MK4 R32, when you stood directly behind the car it was in glorious stereo.

Yes very good point, I don't believe my car is out of breath, especially after now I have done the flapper mod, I believe the MK5 sounds a bit too girly when compared to the MKIV, Just because of the high pitch whine and the spit coming out when foot is released.

Just letting you all know we will be making another video with both our cars having the flappers open very shortly

Will post it up and we can have another vote

    Thanks,

    Tom
