Absolutely. Mods are an individual taste thing - it's rare that people agree so completely on a set of mods that they both see equal value in them.
I doubt it - mods rarely add value to a car at the time of resale. You'd probably do better to take the car back to stock as best you can and sell the mods off as individual items.Im sure it could have got a lot more if it wasnt modded as much.. a lot of people just see it as a bit off-putting and therefore only appeals to a very small minority.
As an example, there's no way the rims on my Bora at present will add $1,000 to the resale value of the car - but I could easily throw stock rims back on it, get no less money for the sale, and then sell the rims for $1,000 separately. The same goes for my R32 brake setup, the air intake snorkel mod, the blue haldex, the rear strut brace, R32 steering wheel, coilovers...
