Ok so vw does not sell these on there own but they come with the line. Basically the STD 4mo bolt crapper itself so, I need to replace it, only, I don't want the master cylinder to leak what is the best way to stem the flow on the line while I go to a shop to get a bolt ?

I have read that if air gets in to the master cylinder it has to be replaced !!!

VW quoted the follow part numbers but these are for the whole line pffft might as well get braided...

The former should be 1J0611701F, USD$65 or so from ECS Tuning, the latter is about USD$35 from ECSTuning. Of course, you'll need two regardless.

You'd be able to get a set of braided lines locally for less. There's no point running the R32 lines unless you have R32 brakes - and if you have R32 brakes, the R32 lines are mandatory (the Bora ones aren't long enough, and connect to the caliper at the wrong angle).

Will PM you with details of who I got my braided lines from.

    Thanks,

Some information, the bolts are 10x1.5 Banjo Bolts. And the only place that had them were speedpro in Dandenong otherwise I would have needed new lines.

When I get the time, I am going to take the car to a brake place I know and let them make up the lines and change everything as I didn't think the lines had to be changed but now I do.

    Regards

For what it's worth, the ADRs changed relatively recently, and allow for lines that are marked as DoT/TUV/etc approved rather than requiring specific ADR approval. So you can buy approved lines from overseas with confidence.

That said, the ones I got are still made to the old ADR specs and stamped as such, so I'm doubly sure.

Thanks but when I go again I'll just get a brake place to the whole she bang an I'm a bit mixed as to whether stainless really makes a big enough difference for the extra
