You should try to keep the same rolling distance (so any rim size will end up with no difference to the car height or speedo reading)

Your 19's are a low profile, you'd probably find 17's a good compromise. 15's are likely to feel sloppy as the sidewall will flex a lot.

If your car feels slow, I'd be looking at Vag-com, swapping out your J valve for a standard one and checking your piping for boost / vacum leaks. Unless you shead a lot of rim weight, you are not going to notice a massive difference.

that could be changed by running a slightly smaller profile tyres on the 16s.

15s with a 65 profile is not fun, after having my coilovers and sway bar installed i was rocking stockies, and you can feel the flex in the tyre before your suspension even moves

i still don't get why you want those 15's. they'd be good for off road and cheap tyres, that's about it.
i sold my 16" gti stock wheels for $300 (montreal 2's), i wouldn't pay any more than 250 for just 15" rims.... (tyres oviously add value if you need them)
put up a wanted listing in the forums here and copy it in your sig, or just browse the for sale section here for a little bit.
