    Mk4 upgraded strut mounts

    Hey people,

Has anyone upgraded their rubber strut mounts?

2 options i have found have been..

1)solid strut mounts? Surely this is a track only option?

VW GOLF MK4 FIXED 2 PIECE TOP MOUNT KIT PAIR - Parts by Car Manufacturer - VW - Golf MK4 - VW GOLF MK4 FIXED TOP MOUNTS (PAIR) - Compbrake - Designers In Motorsport - (Powered by CubeCart)

    2) SEAT cupra R strut mounts

VWVortex.com - OEM Heavy Duty Strut Top Mounts - YES - there is one available!!

    Any opinions?

Also how do I torque the top strut nut correctly????

I need to hold the centre bit with the allan key... but then the torque wrench doesnt go over..

otherwise it just spins around without holding the centre bit

I ran R32/TT ones with my coilovers, made a big difference
you have the right idea with tightening them, just need to find a socket that you can get a spanner or something on to

I'm running 034motorsports street density mounts at the moment. I went for the Audi 90 versions as they allow the car to sit lower, but they also have Mk4 versions too.

Ok cool thanks guys, the 034motorsport ones are good, but the shipping is intenso..

Ill see if i have some friends in the UK or someone locally who can source me the SEAT cupra leon R strut mounts..

Also found a solution to the tightening issue...
    - torque wrench
    - sparkplug socket
    - vw special tool 10001/8 or something similar...

Hye rayray, where are the street density mounts you are talking about ? What durometer rubber are they?

I can only see the track spec... Strut Mount, Track Density, Mk 4 Chassis VW and Audi - 034 MOTORSPORT
