    Mk4 R32 Perforated Grills

Hey Guys does the Ozzy R32 have both the left and right Lower Front Grills perforated? As Ours only has one side perforated and my mate with the R wants to have them both. If the Ozzy R does come with the perforated Grills anyone has a part number?

    Thanks

No it doesn't it's a do it yourself mod, well for MKIV R anyway.

Take the grill out using a small flat blade screw driver to carefully lift the bottom tabs, get a decent quality narrow box cutter or scalpel (hobby shops have these), some extra blades and a hair dryer.

Gently heat the grill for a few seconds with it facing up on a solid surface and push the blade through following each edge of the diamond. Once all of them are out fold up a piece of wet n dry and gently smooth out the dags. Make sure you leave one row solid around the outside edge as per the one already open on the other side of the car to keep it rigid enough so it doesn't pop out. Takes about 30 minutes to remove all of them and sand the dags off.

    Cheers Al

That was the nice thing about using the BMC CDA intake the hose hung down there but there was no issue about the filter getting wet or it sucking in water.

thats true quozl, but when i was deciding which CAI to get, BMC one was way too expensive, so i went with Neuspeed and i love it!

Hmmm.... Thoughts for future modification plan.
I take it the BMC Air Filter is the best CAI option?
How then does the Carbonio compare to the Neuspeed?
Al, how come with the BMC intake you don't have to worry about water entering? Looking at the BMC site they say not to put the intake down too low.
    Cheers
