We use battery world at work when customers dont want to pay for genuine and the come out and fit the battery for us aswell. Think a genuine is like $300 or similar and battery world are usually about half price and they give you a 2 year warranty, I had them fit one to my old 4X4 and it was fine, I would go none genuine as its got the warranty same as VW but half the price. ...VW... Also you cant see the battery on the golf as its got the plastic covers so who will know whats under there!

I have one of these installed in my car; Battery.
Standard battery size and has a three year warranty as opposed to two, and 15.14kg.
Picked it up from Autobarn or similar.

    Cheers,
    Trent

I get trade form ALCO and Federal, heaps cheaper than Autobarn rip merchants. And at these fore mentioned places the guys actaully know what they are talking about. .

You can get Century (where I work) batteries from BatteryWorld, SuperCheap, Repco (who also rebadge). We do OEM batteries for Ford, Toyota, and several others, and they are the same quality units (although the aftermarket ones have the distinctive yellow / blue casings) as the OEM ones - you shouldn't have any problems using a Century...
