Hi guys,
Been experiencing this issue with my car for the past month and have been dead busy to visit the workshops.
Basically, the symptoms i am experieicing are:
1. Noticed that in the cabin i smell antifreeze/coolant
2. Fog (possibly antifreeze/coolant) sticking in the inside on the windscreen which the aircon cant get rid off that quick.
3. The heater smells bad as well and havent used it since.
Also had my aircon regassed recently.
Temp workaround is that i have been windexing and anti-fogging my windscreen every few days.
My coolant hasn't dropped much nor am I seeing any leaks on the floors.
I think i may of contributed by either putting some aircon vent cleaner in the car and left it longer than the specified 10mins or using Nulon G10 (red) anti-freeze when i noticed a slight drop a while back.
Can anyone advise on the above symptoms could confirm that my heater core is goneski or could it be something else. I don't want to be pulling out the whole dash as yet so need some advice on this.
Your feedback is appreciated.
Cheers,
T

Yeah, all classic signs that the heater core has a leak.
It only needs to be a slight weep, to start causing condensation issues on the windscreen.
Get the cooling system pressure-tested over a continuous long period of time. The leak will show itself eventually.
