I have taken some hi res images, they are around 7mb each and are available from this link.

One thing to note is that it seems like they have used a metal press to press the R logo and info on the front and the small R logos on the back so if you got onto VW Australia they might be able to tell you if they still have the dye's or who they used to make them. Also the ball and swivel for the ring is interesting in that the key fob part is a piece of solid billet aluminum but they have somehow attached the ball to the fob so that it spins.

    Cheers Al

Right-o, for those interested I have completed the first CAD rough and will be finding a place to cnc a test run soon. Al, if you dont mind ill send the test blank to you to compare agains the original. At this stage i have had to change the design slightly so as not to infringe on the copy right (but i think most people will not notice/mind)
    Cheers

    Nope, no number on mine.

    I guess I could get #000 or #201.

I'm the 2nd owner and previous owner did not get back to me regarding # and the goodies (umbrella and keyrings). Guy traded for a m3.

I could supply them with out the number and in the future (if there is a way to find out) you could add it. Looking at the pics the number is hand stamped anyway.
    Cheers

Yep they are hand stamped, some are better than others. Some are neatly done and straight and some just quickly stamped and all wavey.
