IAT sensor maybe?
Disconnected the power steering switch and it now doesn't die down to 500rpm after I floor it! Still has the %5 throttle jumpy-ness which occasionally comes into play when letting off accelerator; but I am hoping it will now adapt properly.
If it doesn't, any other ideas as to what sensors or anything else that could be buggered, stopping the throttle body from adapting? Only ever goes jolty at %5 throttle. Never any other amount of throttle.
It idles at a consistant (compared to when it fluctuated) 1850rpm while moving though and at 950rpm (much better idle, also not fluctuating) when not moving.
I'm guessing every sensor on this engine is buggered or something? haha

Na mate it will still adapt even if the IAT is disconnected. Have you tried the throttle yet?? good to hear the power steer switch helped, more trouble than they are worth
Cheers

coolant sensor? new one did wonders for my car...
'02 GTI (clicky) - REFLEX SILVER - VIEZU race tune. VAR design 2.5inch stainless steel dump pipe with 100cell cat into 2.5" billyboat stainless cat back, Forge TIP, N75, Audi DV, ghetto CAI, FK-AK s coilovers, tunerdone LEDs, Clarion CZ301E sound stage.
Just as an update, it's doing it again now.
Drops down to 600rpm after high boost and WAY more jolty, even compared to before I took the power steering switch off.
It has a brand new coolant sensor (first thing I tried) and it cannot adapt any throttle body. Took it to Volkwerk and had a go with a brand new throttle body - with the same results.
Gets to about %30 open and comes up with an error on ross-tech (and yes we used the right block ). It does it with any throttle body.

Not selling it anymore.
Taking it to volkwerk so they can fix it for me haha
Will update once/if the problem is found
It was the ECU making all the problems
