You would have to weld a flat plate of metal on the end of the bracket to replace the broken part.
Should be able to find a picture on the net of which bit breaks
Hi guys,
I have a problem with my clutch pedal, and was hoping someone has a quick fix as I live 100 km's from nearest repairer.
I was reversing out of my drive when the pedal went snap and sunk to the floor. Some plastic fell - which I suspect is the infamous clutch clip, I am able to lift clutch with my hand and it snaps back up, but then snaps back down again.
Has anyone ever fabricated anything for a quick fix - ie to b able to drive the car for a week or so until I can get the full repair done?? Please help

Thanks Dylan, as I'm stuck and help is hugely appreciated
this is the clip: part no. 1J2721332A
here's a thread with pics:

search on ebay, plenty of bits
Just to round this off - and a big thank you to those that replied.
Took it to local mechanic (who I chose as he is a good fabricator), turns out both the white and black clips were fine.
Simply snapped the metal wall off the bracket, which in turn uncliped the clip, he simply re welded and strengthened the metal and reassembled - $132.00 - done
awesome!
a strengthen one is much better then another new one.
did you manage to refit hte black plastic cover over it? I know when we repaired my first one we left too much weld which meant the black plastic cover wouldnt go back on...
this lead to the cruise control not working ha
