Hey guy's, haven't done much to the car as of late as I'm currently saving up for a few thing's. Today I removed the rear Golf and GTI badges and i'll be getting the front guard's rolled next week some time.

Car is really due for a detail

I also removed the the FK front light's as they had pretty ****ty light coverage and they also had some condensation build up inside both lights so that was pretty ****ty and a waste of money, I'll stick to OEM ones for now till i find some better blacked out ones.

I also spoke to to Raymond from RAW works and I'll be buying his old NQSBBK by Porsche that he refurbished as well in a couple of weeks so I'm really looking forward to getting them on the car.

Also like to mention that my wheels will be up for sale soon so if anyone is interested let me know, still undecided on what I'm going to get but i will be going for something along the lines on 9 on the front and 10 on the rear, I'm currently looking at Work Meister SP1 3 piece or possibly the new Work GT5's though if i can get me hands on some fat BBS's I may consider them.

So I ordered my new wheels today, ended up going for the Work GT5's 18x8 et38 (40mm lip) in the front and 18x10 et 38 (70mm lip) in the rear and I'm waiting for a confirmation email to see if I can get them painted in a gloss black, should look pretty aggressive

They should be here in around 3 month so that's something to look forward to down the track.

Apart from that I had the front guards rolled last week so there good to go and ready for some more low's, also rang up Camden GTi to organize 2 new front CV shafts as when we were rolling the guards we noticed some play left and right and to fix a few other things that's been on my list to fix.

I've put the turbo upgrade on hold for now as I loose my license for 3 months in 2 weeks so I'd like to spend the time fixing things on the car that i can do my self.

Sounds good man! Will be awesome once the new wheels are on!
Only thing I'd say is that the fronts will need some spacing out by about 15mm to get nicer fitment
I've got +26 with 18x8.5 on the front of mine and the rim sits pretty much flush with the edge of the guard.
The rear will be pretty much perfect.
    So something to think about
    Sucks about your licence tho!

Yeh Caputo is pretty ****ty but eh it happens, as for the spacers yeh I've been told that the 10's on the rear are a straight fit so I'm cheering about that, main thing I'm concerned about is to how close they will be to the coils though I've been told i shouldn't have an issue

Well I guess if you were speeding or something similar nobody else is to blame haha

I compared the rear to my rear fitment and its identical except you having an extra 1.5 inches aha
The fronts clearing the coils is the only thing I'd be worried about atm

Hmm yeh I'll have to check it out tomorrow when I got some light but I'm currently running 18x8 on the front with a 10mm spacer, so with the extra inch I defiantly be close, may have to change spacers

So not too much is going on at the moment as my license is still suspended for another 2 month's thought my new dogbone mount arrived today, I purchased a Stage 2 BFI so should be installing that tomorrow. Has anyone else ran a stage 2 at all, a few people are telling me that the cabin rattle will be very noticeable whilst other threads I've read say it isn't too bad and that people have found better throttle response with it

You will notice it. The sloppiness is gone but some vibration is added.
It does force you to get have better clutch control, especially on hill starts or you will break your teeth.

Once you get used to it you will live with it. The pros outweigh the cons easily.
Once you complete your first Traffic Light Gran Prix you will be happy with the lack of wheel tramp, and be sold.

you will just find ALL your dash rattles when using the low rpm where it stutters a little etc.
but overall should be sweet I would imagine.
