Mk4 golf air bag removal help

hey all im trying to remove the air bag off my mk4 so i can fit the GTI leather wheel , so fair im not having much luck getting the clips to release on the air bag

any one from Brisbane or gold coast area able to come to mine and lend a hand ?

its really starting to annoy me and im trying not to destroy the wheel in the process


any help would be great

Practice on your new wheel to get right angle....I used a flat screw driver not Phillips ..... It will just pop off !

thanks for the input , but not 10 mins after i posted this i got the air bag off ... killed the wheel in the process but it was pretty buggered any way ... gti i wheel is now fitted , just gotta work out the horn wires as the factory 4 spoke wheel had 2 plus for the horn and the gti wheel has one ...
