All top strut braces need drilling to fit. No harm in doing so.

I have another question, do these top strut braces do anything worthwhile?

Like has it been proven that they actually stiffen the car?

Audi deemed upper and lower braces a factory fit on the 8L S3, which essentially is the same front end. They wouldn't do it for the good of their health.

Whether the improvement is noticeable, I can't comment.

id never drill into the strut tower. if the front strut brace cant utilize factory locations, its not worthy.

I had a front strut brace on my silvia and it made a massive difference.

I've had a fair few strut braces on other cars but I've never had to drill extra holes in. If other people did it alright I will as I've spent a bit on suspension already so this seems fitting

From my research last night your better off upgrading the strut mounts first..

There meant to do different things though. I'm still not happy with my suspension and don't wanna do anything performance wise until it's right
