MK4 Blokes... glove box light issue.

G'day,

Having trouble with the glove box light assembly.. Have searched the net and only come up with 2 photos which didn't give many clues..


Ive just changed the globe in the glove box, and im having trouble as to where all it goes.. I should have taken a photo at least before i took it apart (It has a very tricky little spring involved.)

The next thing was to compare it with another working light (or one that was assembled)

If anyone has an idea, or even a photo of their own glove box light assembly it would be much appreciated..!!

don't stress everyone... fixed it with a bit more patience.

You've done better than me! Mine fell apart around six years ago and it's been sitting in the glovebox ever since

Great reference photos here. Just remember to put 1/2 a rotation of tension on the spring or it won't work. Notice the pic has 7 loops of spring.

Yeah that's it. Wish i had those photos earlier.. Trial and error was the only way out. luckily i didn't brake the thing. tricky little thing.
