I love reading these sorts of threads, the guys who detail cars are in general very informative so it's worth reading as well as looking at the pics

    Nice find

I'll be doing my wheels (all over...100%...inside and out) when I get home. I'm going to try and reduce the amount of brake dust by trying a wheel wax. Also...the car will get clay bar'd. Stuffed if I am going to put it back to the dealership. Their idea of a clay bar is leave it sitting outside, then wash it 1 hour before I am due to pick it up.

Sorry OPVW...doesn't cut it for me.

I did this last detail of my car, make sure you use synthetic wax tho, the natural stuff kinda washes off pretty quick

The carabuna wax however tis spelt doesn't wash off quick - so long as you use the paste. Paste waxes last up to around 6X longer. Takes longer to put on though, so most people don't bother.

Very nice find. Wish i had the time to do that!

Am curious about this 50/50 thing the guy did - is it the claybar that got rid of it? or machine polishing it?

And what was product used in engine bay? i want some!

I think i need some advice about cleaning car.... longest i've spent detailing it was about 3hrs.

D3bb4, talk to DMS_Dan about a cleaning day in Rozelle (if you're in sydney). He'll tell you about it. There's a few guys that host this information day where they teach you the best ways to prep, clean, detail etc your car, and they will give you vouchers for the products they use if you want to buy them. It's $40 for the day, well worth it IMO! I'm going to the first one after i get my licence back

I use the Zymol range of products. Not cheap by any means, but the finish is just unbelievable.
