    MAF problems?

    hi

this has been an ongoing problem for 6months or so. at times when driving the car starts to jump like its stauling. usually happens when no accelerator is used. when i disconnect all air flow sensors it eliminates the problem...then returns after a day or so.

    any sugestions?

Try cleaning the throttle body then reset to basic settings. If you don't have VAG-COM take one battery terminal off and short em out.

Unplug the maf sensor in the air intake pipe to the TB.
If it then revs better you need a new MAF.
I have some from the US at work if you are in need.

This only works on drive by wire cars .
Which MAF works from US based cars on the AGU engine ?
None of the US Mafs run the old rectangular plug but the VR6 , which is a larger Maf anyway ???

Why would you get one with a rectangular plug?

These are for the AGU and simply from America where I can buy them cheaper.

AGU runs the rectangular plug same as the VR6
All the other east west 1.8ts run the newer style plug .
The US never got the old style plug
