That is so cool. I've considered swapping out the 8V AEG 2.0 engine I got in my MK4 to a 1.8t or VR6, but not sure if I could really be bothered, let alone the cost. This looks awesome though, definitely a whole lot more with the added turbo!
As a few of you guys know, I've been wanting to do this conversion for awhile now. Finally found the money and time :please here's how it unfolded. All work was done in a single weekend.
Firstly start pulling apart the 1.6
Also that afternoon the gti wreck was delivered. Big thanks to matt at Camden gti. Gave me a great price on the car and delt with my mum because I had no time to contact him at work lmao.
the donor car: 125xxxkm, service history, red recaros and most importantly 1.8t goodness
1.6 out.
And 1.8t coming out. Was really easy. Had the two cars facing eachother. I pulled out the 1.6 as dad was checking wiring etc on 1.8t
Currently only have access to internet on my phone so I'll update it in the near future. Put a pod filter straight on (as you do) and just been enjoying the flutter and intake sound tune, exhaust, k04 and plenty more coming soon.
Cheers Lucas.

This finished up as a really tidy conversion. Everything was finished nicely. Looking forward to the tune. Well done mate. Looking forward to hunting WRX's with ya.
