    Lowering my mk4 R32??

I am looking into lowering my R32 because it just sits a little to high! Funds are limited so was looking at maybe just changing the spring but as i have not lowered a car before im not sure what the best thing to do is?? I was looking at going about 20mm lower. I have brought spacers for the front and rear as well. Please advise and the best place to go?? I live on the gold coast,
    Thanks

20mm i wouldnt bother... the car has probably already sagged that much over time.
get some eibach or H&R springs
I think there is a guy selling springs for a 4motion bora on here, they should also work

you can buy springs ex US for a lot less (say Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels) but delivery costs are a bit more

try here - you would need to confirm if that model is comparable to the R32: Suspension Products for 2002 Volkswagen GTI VR6

or try somewhere like here, ex UK

DPM - VW Golf 4 Lowering Springs

If you can stretch the $$ go coilovers, that way you get a more compliant ride and can set up the ride height to suit yourself

i have H&R springs in mine, and if you wanna keep your kidneys go for coilovers. you can get KW V1 shipped to aus for about $1K from awesome GTI. You will need adjustable rear control arms too, you will a ton of camber on the back and it wear out your tyres pretty quickly. Whatever you do dont forget to do the wheel alignment after its been lowered

Yes, i'm still learning the hard way. My tyres are almost all worn and in need of new rubber.

A set of gruven adjustable control arms will solve this.

    x2. Just get coilovers

my springs were ok when I first got them (used H&R for cheap to sort out a suspension issue). They have killed my shocks now so need both. Go coilovers first up!

There is a member on here that has had probs with the gruven adjustable control arms.
Last I read, he was going back to stock. If I remember correctly, the welds fused. Basically they fell apart!
