The Eibachs are probably a good choice given your concerns. 30mm is a nice drop without being far enough to start causing other problems. To be honest, on a MK4 if you go much more than that, although it might look good, it can affect the geometry to the point where handling actually becomes worse. Plus, once you get near 40mm or so you can have front sway bar/drive shaft rubbing issues.

    Cheers,

    Snowy.

    hi nkoulban,

just checked the H&R catalogue and it says sport performance springs PART no VA 29526-1 (yellow) lower the car by 35mm approx.

height adjustable shocks ??? is there such a thing? or do you mean COIL OVERS?

    H&R coilovers lower from 30mm to 70mm.

im running at least 55mm lower and have no issues.,,just learn to take it easy on ramps! and handles awesome !!!

I explored the weitecs as a possible option. Yes they were cheaper, but that cost was offset as soon as they needed to be re-built. Just something to consider.
