Looking for a new car - Heaps of Q's

Hi guys, just sold my ute and I'm thinking of getting a Mk IV golf GTI. Just wondering if you guys could aanswer a few questions for us. I go on my opens on Oct 1 so this will be my first Turbo car that I have owned and driven.

How do the Mk IV GTI's perform and handle on road?
Are there many mods for performance and looks available?
Are parts/mods cheap to buy?
How quick are these things, or how quick can they be with a few mods? ( only reason why I ask, is that I looked on redbook and it says that they have 110kw. This just doesn't seem to be to much )
How fuel efficient are they (How much does it cost to fill up and how many kms would you get from a tank?

Any other stuff you could tell us about these would be awesome. Thanks

Yes, the Mk4 Golf GTI has ALOT if tuning potential, and the parts are both relatively cheap, and VERY plentiful. Research, my friend, will reap you the answers you are looking for.
