I have been looking for somebody who has turboed the V6 here ...now I have.
Should I give up before I start??.... I have found a turbo kit in Canada that comes with everything.... did you look at this??(C2 based on this system)
any advice you can give me as unlike you I can only change a tyre.
Luckily my mechanic is keen for the challenge.
will be looking forward to your video post

Its done! It runs, its smooth, its only running 10psi at the moment till i get a boost controller... but for 10psi its pretty damnn quick

The thoughts of what it'll be like at 20psi are scary!

I'll post a full update tomorrow, now its boosting time

Nice work, only new here but have been following this thread very closely. I told my bora the other night that I would not do bad things to it as it sat there quietly, but in the back of my mind this thread and a turbo build kept popping up for some reason.

Very interested in the final figures, both perfomance and efficiency.

Nice work mate- I'm sure it felt good to clean it all up and take it for a spin. Enjoy your new found power. Cheers J

Thanks mate, it's been fantastic I pulled the front end off again today to clean up afew things. Front bar needed a bit more trimming to make it fit more flush, had to hook up another sensor, and pulled the rocker cover off to re-torque the head. Tomorrows jobs are to plumb and wire in my second fuel pump and install my gauge pods, boost gauge and oil pressure gauge.

Unfortunately i've hit a few little problems, there's a clicking coming from the front right somewhere when im over 30kph, it sounds like a stone in the tyre but there isn't one there. Everything is done up tight so i'm baffled as to what it is. I've also got one of my newly re-booted cv joints spitting grease so i'll be taking the car back to the driveshaft place to get them to look at that. Last teething issue is that the exhaust thumps on the chassis when reversing or when shifting hard, i think my dogbone mount is shot so i'll replace it with a poly bushing and hopefully that'll sort that out.

As my mechanics dyno is only 2wd, tonight i also tried pulling fuse #31 to see if it disabled awd. Certainly does and fwd on 10psi essentially = fried tyres through 1st and 2nd, fun but not fast! I'll be dynoing it on Thursday hopefully i'll be able to find a boost controller as mine wont arrive till saturday.

Tomorrow i'll take some better photos with an actual camera rather than a phone and hopefully get them uploaded soon.

Hopefully this thread has inspired a few more people to take the plunge as believe me its one worth doing!

Where are you going to mount the inline fuel pump? What brand did you get? I would recommend right by the inline fuel filter and wire it to the K27 relay so when you open the door it primes the inline fuel pump along with the intank pump. Let me know if you got any ??'s Cheers J
