My New Vag Com Serial Cable arrived last night..

cracked open VDS_PRO recoded 3 different bytes under 3 different addresses

saved it..

Push Hold Unlock Windows Roll Down

Push Hold Lock Windows Roll Up

I like the way the sunroof closes now when I lock my car, I used to forget that a lot in summer but now the key fob does the lot.

I know what you are saying Snowy with the sunroof... I sued to do it all the time too!!

While we are on the topic... Does anyone know how to fix a sunroof that wont open?!

I bought a Serial VAG Com Cable Dongle 12 bucks

and downloaded some free software

logged in with it on a comp running pure Dos

using VDS PRO Software..

viola.. 10 minutes later i had Audi Like Key Fob Abilities..

i might bring my lappy over to sydney tomorrow night if any one wants me to.. (only if people actually do thou cos its a heavy old brick)

ill do it for nada!

My MkIV rally has this from the factory......but only if you leave the windows open when you exit the car, then it remembers to close/open them.

Alternatively you can purchase a KVW100 window programmer. Quick and easy to do and you don't have to worry about programming it yourself. Windows will wind up automatically when you lock the car with the remote. Send fuzion on here a PM and he'll be able to look after you.
