I can't seem to find much in teh way of reviews. Pulsar forum has a few people saying they're good, others saying that the seals on the rear went = oil everywhere. I want to read as many reviews as possible before deciding if it's worth throwing $$$ at.

IMO your going to the wrong place (albeit a suspension place), go and find a VW specialist mechanic and ask him for some opinions on coilovers.

They are either getting them confused with something else or have no idea about suspension.

I'd say that the guy at pedders didn't really know what he was talking about, seeing as instead of arguing a point with craftmanship issues, he told me that i need euro parts for a euro car, not japanese parts... g4's are from taiwan but...

I might settle for the cheaper alternative with KYB shocks and "low" (30mm) king springs, to stiffen the suspension, and then a whiteline anti-sway bar.

what's wrong with king springs? the chopping comment: implying that they're too harsh???

It's a 2L... and is alot of money for a uni student to "do it properly" and spend 2k

Get yourself a set of lowered springs ie from koni, H&R Bilstein and a good set of shocks I know how hard it is to do it as a uni student.

    Wait a little bit longer...

I have a set of coilovers from one of our site sponsers current on the way from German Car Performance in Germany:

    http://www.germancarperformance.com/...ld-p-1139.html

At AU$950 landed including a set of heavy duty mounts they are well priced. They are not dampening adjustable like the KW V2's, but then they are also a much cheaper option.

I should get them in a few weeks, then it will be *very* interesting to see how some how both I rate them (which is the important thing, at least for me) and how those with KW's rate them in comparison.

Another alternative which I have read lots of good things about is the SuperSport coils sold through Venom Motor Sports in the UK:
    http://www.venommotorsport.com/

At around the same price (maybe a little less) they are a good looking product, something I was looking at until someone pointed out our sponsor who happily ships to Australia, as for Venom, I never got round to contacting them, since I got what I wanted elsewhere.

have you ever been in a vw with king springs??? I owned one,and regret it.... lucky they were free ,but still it was a rough as dogs ............

so how much will the kings springs + shock set up cost you?? 500 - 700???

id rather not do it,wait or get a reputable brand springs which are progressive rate and wont fall out every time you jack the car up( and dont make you fillings fall out of your teeth!)
