Jeep is Gone - Bring on the R32

So I sold the 205 GTi; I’ve sold the Jeep. It’s now time to go shopping for an R32. I will have no car from Saturday so I am keen to get into one pretty quickly.

Until 3 weeks ago there were around 10 for sale around Australia with most at reasonable prices. Unfortunately most of these have sold and I’m looking at closer to $35,000 than the $27,000 of a few weeks ago. Hoping they have some negotiation in them.

What I wanted to know is does anyone know of (or has themselves) an R32 for sale that may not be up on Carsales or similar or any other leads on ones for sale. Obviously NSW is preferable but I will travel if needed.

Also any tips for what to look out for would be great.

A memvber on here had one for sale for a while.

He's a Coffs Harbour based car detailer... as you would expect, the car is in showroom condition, though I think the wheels had been painted white.

Worth a PM anyway - it'll alert him via email.

Thanks mate. I am not doubting its condition and how well its been looked after but the high KM on it scare me a bit. More keen on something with 80,000 or less. Picky i know.

I don't know of any for sale here like that, but it shouldn't be too hard as my 01 GTI just ticked over 90kms.

    Good luck

high km's should'nt really be an issue, its not exactly a stressed engine. VR6 (config) engines go well over 200,000 without any problems. Even if it does go bang, what better excuse than to turbo it

I've been told from dave that your car is perfect, so for anyone put off buy this guy's km's on his R32, take your spoons out, dip it into the cement and milk, and EAT. Km's are merely a number, provided the car is looked after age of the car is what matters.
