and more steel rods through the rest of it to..
heres the airbag...no gas torches please
next, take off the 2 tubes that the head rest sits into
once theyre removed, thats the fabric removed
peel off the fabric
to get to the steel rods that pull the fabric together, its a bit of a pain in the ass but not hard
and thats that...the bare cushion
heres the element for the base
just place it on the foam and fold it into the slots
peel off the sticky ****,theres some on the bolsters to
i just cut a hole in the foam to feed the loom through
and thats bascially it for the base, put the fabric back on in reverse order
back together again and put the seat back on to the base and part of the loom into its new home(green connector)
on to the back...remove the headrest
start off at the bottom and start stripping the fabric
2 of these clips to be opened
and more steel rods through the rest of it to..
heres the airbag...no gas torches please
next, take off the 2 tubes that the head rest sits into
once theyre removed, thats the fabric removed
and heres the element for the back
same as before, just peel the sticky off and place the element on the foam
then just put it all back together again
then bolt the base onto the back and connect up the looms under the seat
thats it...do the same for the other seat and youre nearly there
so all the lower part of the dash has to come out,i took out the arm rest cause im running a power supply to a aux socket in the armrest for a phone charher/whatever
the kit comes with the complete loom and connections and everything you need.
remove the blanks, cup holder and radio
just start by feeding in the loom into the blanks
because it a genuine retro fit kit,its pretty much plug in as you go,,pin 17 on the light switch for your iluminated switchs, insert 2 wires into the fuse box,no 44 ,for the heated seats and 15 amp fuse, and another wire in into fuse 5,power wire into terminal 30 on the relay board, bolt the earth wire to a ground, and 2 other parts of the loom that have to be routed under along the kick panel both sides and under the carpet to where the loom for the air bag is
and thats about it,just stick it all back together again
there was one problem with the install, because the switches are colour coded with the loom, when it was all together, the drivers side switch heated the the passanger seat and vise versa, easy fix though, the connectors are interchangeable (the kit i think only comes for a lhd car,i could be wrong, but it all works the way its ment to now)
but a great kit and glad to have it now,its a bit time consuming but well worth it!
nice work! Wish we got the PD150's here. Sadly not the case

MY00 White Golf MK4
cheers for the comments.
vrt was about 1200 as far as i can remember?
No more coffee stained radio
Eventually got round to fitting this, it he handbrake sits at a different angle so when it's removed just drill out the mounting holes larger.
And stick it all back together, I removed the seats to make it a bit easier.
And part no's for the bits
One is for the console and one is for the fuel flap release button , the U.S has it in the drivers door.
All the way from Mexico.
And a repair kit for the broken hinge on the centre armrest
Mate that centre console looks good. Nice change getting rid of that stupid ashtray which always break. One thing I suggest is you get rid of that ugly wood grain go for aluminum finish. Here's a pic of mine
Apart from that lovin the build mate looking sweet!!!
