Awesome looking Bora
i have this car about 4 years now and after doing a good few mods here and there..
2002 vw bora 150 pd
i spotted it on pistonheads, emailed the bloke for about a month, got a one way flight to London from Dublin and a one way trip on the ferry from Hollyhead to Roslare, hoping that the car was as good as it was described...luckiny it was, then drove 4.5 hours from London to Hollyhead, got the boat and another 2.5 hour trip home!
spec was factory fitted zenons, sat nav, headlight washers, climatronic, sport interior,6 speed ,auto wipers, factory alarm, cruise control and auto dimming mirror.and of course the ARL150bhp diesel pd lump.
first thing was H and R lowering springs..
then fitted red l.e.ds into the door triggers.
Awesome looking Bora
then i fitted a set of genuine spots in the lower bumper grills
bumper off, and got dround taking off the headlamp washers off to.
air box and all bits removed for the wiring as well as puting in the wire for the switch...and while i was there decided to stick in the boost gauge(and b4 any one says anything,i know theres no vac in a deisel, its the only gauge i could get thats identical to the coulur of the facia)
just a quick trial fit to make sure there working b4 everything is put back together
and all done!
ill stick up a pic later with the gauge.
the pod wouldnt be exellent quality but it does the job
where i connected the boost pipe to.
full miltec exhaust including cat delete
just some more pics from the last few days, while i was at it i said i might as well get the down pipe to
this is what i was left with...
so heres what it was like
bits removed and rebar fitted back again
and new one getting there
new 4motion valance fitted also
job done
i fitted a tow bar for about 3 months to drag my bike around but sold that and sold the tow bar also
Bora, black, tdi, 6spd, OEM options.
Man I'm so jealous. Wish we got them in aus
Have any further plans?
Cool car mate,
I like the work youv done too.
Need to bring it closer to earth.
cheers for the comments lads, theres loads in the pipeline still!!
also fitted stubbymirrors to .from a seat arosa/vw lupo
during
and after
the differnce in the size
all electrically adjusted and heated.
also decidet to get rid of these
eventually got time to put in the w8 light
have to say its a well worth mod to!
brand new bbs rc's
got the front 312mm brakes from a audi TT,rears to be put on soon
the standard ones look lost!
also got more black badges, front and rear, after the front was nicked
i had stone guards to put on instead of bending back the original ones but were the wrong ones
i had to make up some 6mm spacers for the carriers as the brakes were from a TT
before and after
never rains but it pours
this decided to **** its self the other night!
new pulley
then i fitted a full vw genuine heated seat kit...
sorry bout all the pics but theres loads!
coilovers to be fitted soon to,just havnt got the time to fit em yet.
out with the seats first,2 torx either side of the runners and 2 13mm nuts.....and dont forget to disconnect the the airbag loom and just slide the seat backwards!
get a suitable kitcken counter top and start pulling the thing apart
start by removing all the handles and knobs
the height adjuster just has 2 torx, the other 2 knobs just pull off
the bottom of the seat, the plastic trim has 2 screws one here ..
and one behind
and a plastic piece also to hold in the side of the trim
and you should have this
next, take the loom for the air bag and take it off the clips the hold it to the base of the seat as its going to be split
theres 4 of these that hold the back of the seat to the base
remove them and youre left with this
flip it up on its arse
and just lift up the edge of the fabric,it comes up easy enough
just lift up the cushion then
