    Introduction

    Hi All,

Ive been told off!!! I didnt introduce myself, and hence, people cant reply to my posts

    I'm Gareth, in Perth.

I drive a manual FPV GT-P in yellow, with (a slightly tweaked) 375KW and a superb V8 exhaust note.

ive just sold an E30 BMW 325is Motorsport, and i'm here looking for what to replace it with, maybe a Mk4 Golf GTi, Bora 4Motion Sport, Audi S3.....

Ive posted a few pics (hopefully for yr enjoyment).

If you'd like an mp3 of my exhaust note, email at owens@mimi.com.au (yeah, yeah I know its not European, but its not bogan either LOL)

thanks for allowing me on here and hopefully I'll find something good soon.

    All the best

    Gareth

    Cool

Welcome Gareth, how did you go with Sik ?

I tend to think if you already have the GT-P maybe an S3 Though a lot more expensive than the Bora a few extra's e.g. xenon's, proper Recaros a lot more tunable etc. Or you could just get a B5 S4 but than you are talking big tom to maintain it.

Of course the Bora V6 is great to ! Not incredibly fast so you can rev it up a bit without losing your licence. As you would know, probably not as sweet sounding as a 325iS but still fantastic all the same.

You didn't happen to come from the Ozaudi forum did you by any chance? Anyways - welcome aboard.

375 - is that at the wheels? If it is I'm interested.

    welcome gareth....

ive driven all of your options over the years..love the s3 for its extras but the gti is far more fun machine which is easier to muck around with,if thats what your intention is....yet again..im a little biased!

    hi again all.

I'm catching up with sikbora sometime in the next week. pity it wasnt sooner actually, he expesssed interest in my BMW moments after I'd taken a deposit from someone else!! (but isnt life always like that?)

Yes, I am from OzAudi intiially, the guys there were kind enough to point me to you crowd as well.

The meagre 375 is only at the flywheel unfortunately, which equates to 280at the wheels. any bigger numbers than that and forced induction (and lots of tyres) is needed. the great thing isnt so much the power, but the torque of around 650nm, but also so much low down. the standard engine had a bit of a hole low down

    UPDATE
I joined this forum back in january, in the search for a new car, tending towards a Mk4 GTI. Well, I've finally taken the plunge and bought myself a VW of sorts - got myself an Audi S3 - see here for details of the car http://www.ozaudi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14583

It was more than I wanted to spend, but too good a car to let someone else own!!

Whilst I dont actually own any VW badges, I hope you dont mind me hanging around on the forum, its been a pleasure chatting with you so far, and enjoyable sharing ideas, knowledge, jokes, pics etc etc
